Get rid of Clogged pores and oily face

My face is oily and greasy since my childhood. But in recent times, my face has developed a new way to trigger me, and that is Clogged Pores.

Clogged pores: These look like small bumps or breakouts that give a rough and uneven texture on the skin. Excess amount of oil and dead skin causes these tiny openings that may further result in acne, pimples, white, and blackheads.

Reasons why I got Clogged pores?

The covid_19 Pandemic has brought a halt to our usual routine. I started being lazy and neglected my skincare. As a result, I landed up in the trap of clogged pores. These were the reasons why I got clogged pores:

  • I stopped to cleanse my face regularly using a cleanser.
  • Use to wash my hair once in 5-6 days
  • I didn’t apply moisturizer to my face regularly
  • And didn’t exfoliate my face for about 10-12 days
  • Haven’t applied sunscreen on my face
  • Hormonal changes

Note: The following skin care routine can help to reduce excess oil from the skin too. And if you desire to get a clear and healthy skin view this

  • 1. Cleanse twice a day. Cleaning your skin is a must for every individual.
  • 2. Apply toner and moisturize your face once you cleanse it, and do not let your face be free.
  • 3. Exfoliate twice a week.

You can opt for available products in the market or create your home-based exfoliators for your face.

I opted for a home-based exfoliator:

Option-1: Sugar + Honey + Lemon scrub

Option-2: Oatmeal + Honey + Curd scrub

  • 4. Home-made masks

What I did was instead of going for a face mask, I tried to do a cucumber facial at home.

Firstly, I exfoliated my face with Sugar and Honey mixture for 5-10 minutes.

Secondly, I massaged with Honey + Cucumber + Aloe vera gel mixture for 10 minutes and wiped it with a damp towel

Lastly, I applied Cucumber + curd + Gram flour +honey + lemon face mask and wiped it after 20 minutes

  • 5. Apply sunscreen and include Aloe Vera or cucumber gel as part of your night time skin routine
  • 6. Wash your hair at least once-twice a week. If it becomes oily too soon, wash every alternate day.
