Wavy Lips!! Yes, you have read it right. It was in 2017, we were introduced to the weird wavy eyebrows or more popularly ‘squiggle brows’. And, again the waves are up for another unusual and so unreal lip trend.
I came across this wavy lip trend, which is having a big hype all around the gram. It has few other freaky names too, like the Octopus Lips or the devil lips.
When did it start?
There is no clear statement on how it started. But, It is said to have started in Russia by a plastic Surgeon – Emelian Braude. #RussianLips
How to achieve this wavy lips look?
You can achieve this crazy look by inserting fillers on the outer lip that results in a wavy effect on both of the lips.
Yet, few of the make-up artists and beauty bloggers are creating this look without harm by using their skills with the lip brush (Though it might take few hours and a lot of effort to land on this look).
Is the wavy lips trend real?
Well, we still don’t know if it is real or just a buzz that crawled up with the quarantine boredom.
Some say it is just an art of photo-shop, while some say it is a real trend that started in Russia.
But whatever it is, this lip trend is having a break down throughout the beauty enthusiasts.
Is it Harmful?
Yes, if the lip look is achieved through fillers, it is harmful. Doctors have concluded, using these bizarre lip fillers can lead to permanent damage. And, it is hard or impossible to recover back to the natural lip lines.
Do you think this wavy lips trend would last for a long time?
When the ‘squiggle brows’ marked its way to the beauty trends, we (at least, I), was freaked to the thought if I have to evident this bizarre look in reality or have to see it for the entire year.
But thanks to its unfortunate, it got chop-chop
Similarly, I hope this Russian lip gets faded too. And, I don’t feel people would like to danger their pouty lips for this unusual lip trend.
But yes, we can say it is going to be there for a few months, till the trend fades off its buzz.
For me, I can’t even imagine my lips going through all the waves. And, for the eye waves, I feel a small black snake crawling up the brow line.
What do you think about these devil lips?
