Sophisticated Outfit ideas for Art Museum

The Victoria and Albert Museum

Hello from London! For the love of Fashion, I finally joined a creative school to study Fashion Business. I moved to London in September and, it took me this long to finally settle in and start publishing blogs again. But the good part is my posts will now be supported with in-depth fashion facts and knowledge. So without any further due, let’s learn the fashion world together along with exploring the prettiest United Kingdom. The first place I visited after moving to the UK was the Victoria and Albert Museum, located in South Kensington.

It was on behalf of our Bootcamp session. I was spellbound after exploring the amazing sculptures and art through the museum.

I think one day or even two is not enough to get the most out of this world’s leading museum of art and design, which holds around 2.8 million objects. And, when you are at V&A, please don’t hesitate to look up or you will miss the view of royal and spectacular ceiling decors.

They have interesting exhibitions going on throughout the year, to name a few – The Diva Exhibition, The Chanel Exhibition, Re-imagining Musicals, and many more which are not just limited to fashion but to the creative arts industry as a whole.

For an individual who is highly into creative arts, this is the right place to seek inspiration. This magnificent place holds around 5,000 years of human creativity. And, V&A also has a few stores where you can purchase timeless collections of Bags, Accessories, Clothes, Scarves, and more.

After exploring a bit on my own, I attended the Fashion Tour that was guided by a V&A member. This tour was worth the time I spent, I was walked through the fashion collections throughout the generations right from the 17th Century and every design was explained by the guide.

If you are planning to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum, do check if this event still is in action. All events can be booked directly through the V&A website or you can always give a call to the V&A support (Contact Numbers are available on the site) for further assistance.

Outfit I wore for the Art Museum

As this was my first visit to an Art museum, my excitement was beyond Cloud-Nine. And, I spent around two hours to dig out the perfect outfit out of my closet. I was looking for something that stands classy, subtle but stylish as well. I wanted to wear a black skirt to give the contemporary look and paired it with a timeless pastel blue turtle neck. I layered it with a Black longline trench coat.

I further accessorised the outfit with White Boots with black details and a gold chunky jewellery and finally a black quilted bag to complete my sophisticated look.
