Is the name Araku valley familiar to you? Did you ever hear about Koraput district? If the answer is no then you must browse this place right now. The images down the way would rise up your curiosity to know about the place.
Araku valley is situated km far from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is a place known for its natural beauty filled with mountains, waterfalls, coffee plantations, and in short, it is ‘A Natural Paradise.’
It is a famous tourist spot and people from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha visit it often during the holiday season.
And, here you can also create a memory of your DDLJ moment in the beautiful fields of yellow mustard plants.

Moreover, I would say Araku Valley is near the south-eastern region of Odisha. And, yes don’t miss the famous Bamboo chicken in Araku.

I have never before written about the place I come from. I am from Koraput district, a small district in the state of Odisha. And, today I proudly go around people and endorse the beauty of my place.
Koraput District has the highest peak – Deomali, it has the prettiest scenic views that you can find in hill stations. It is filled with tribal people whom you would be astonished to meet. These tribal people portray a different cultural outlook, their dressing, and their customs are something you would be delighted to know about.
And, what makes me talk about these natural beauties is my visit to these places after ages. I recently went home after Goa and I had to visit Araku for my research project.
It takes two hours from my place to go to Araku. And, the journey to Araku made me revive the memories of my childhood. I used to live in this peaceful, green land, and pollution used to be a distinct word for us. And, how badly I desired to get back to these pollution-free, peaceful, and natural fauna.
Why you should visit in Eastern Ghats?
So, next time you want to wander and immerse in the silence of nature, have a look at Koraput and Araku valley. It is a place where you would find no noises of the heavy traffic, no suffocation to breathe in the polluted air, and of course, a not so famous place that you never imagined could exist in the Eastern Ghats.
And, you also would find no traffic of crowdie tourists disturbing your silent and peaceful times in this mesmerizing paradise of Eastern Ghats. The images down speak the rest.

Places you must visit here:
Waterfalls – Duduma waterfalls, Dudhari Waterfalls, Araku also has a lot of waterfalls
Deomali Peak – The highest peak in Odisha
Kolab Dam – Picnic spot and gaze through the water descending
Sunabeda Deer park
NALCO – Damanjodi – It has a historic temple amidst the woods and a beautiful lake park with artificial waterfalls.
Putsil, Kaliamali hill, and Punjisil waterfalls are a few to name.
If you are lucky, the farmers might let you get in their mustard and sunflower fields. You can check TripAdvisor for more attractions.
And, my small advice is just to wander off in this place; you might find your own natural spots. You can go trekking too.

Koraput is just 5-6 hours away from Visakhapatnam – the city of beaches. There are multiple beaches in Visakhapatnam where you can do multiple activities.
For party freaks, there are a few pubs and moreover everything the Hyderabadi dum Biryani at Kamat, Alpha, Paradise or my Father’s favorite – the tandoori inn is the biggest delight for foodies. And, don’t forget to eat the famous Onion-filled Andhra Bajjis near the beaches.
I’m currently sitting in a restaurant while my phone is getting repaired in the nearby service center. It’s been a long time since I last explored outside alone. I would like to quote these words “I’m alone but I don’t feel lonely”.
And, how can we expect others to love our company when we ourselves can’t enjoy it.
Before coming out today I wondered for a moment how would I stay alone and more probably without a phone today for three hours. But now I feel I am enjoying my company and I am enjoying this silence and the proud feeling where I am describing you about my hometown.
But the food at the restaurant where I am right now is very bland and tasteless which is constantly disturbing my happy vibes. The Orbis restaurant in Brookfield, Bengaluru is a good place for Chinese so I hoped the Indira Nagar branch would also be a food delight. But my hope didn’t outshine this time.
