Re-create: Bold Type Outfits – 1!

Before going into the outfits, did you watch ‘Bold-type’ yet?

If not, I would suggest to please go and watch it right now. I watched it twice already. 

If you are someone who loves fashion and this is 100% for you. Through Bold type, I came across many unknown facts about this industry regarding the career prospects and the back-end drama of the fashion industry.

Yet, one thing that I cherished the most out of all was the outfits of every individual. 

And, please don’t ask me who is my favorite out of the three (Jane, Kat, and Sutton) because I can’t conclude that. I like every character played in Bold Type.  

• Jane Sloan is a writer and is very honest with her articles. She does pink tones and nude tones for makeup. And, wore almost all kinds of skirts in the series – floral, leather, pencil, and checked. She creates an essence of a next-generation corporate look with her classy dresses and hair-dos.
• Sutton is an aspiring stylist, and her go-to style is denim jeans, wide-leg pants, chic blouses, and dainty accessories. She is a romantic, playful, and hard-working woman. 
• Kat is fierce, bold, and fearless. She wears those chunky necklaces with low waist pants, printed shirts, and blazers. She works as the social media manager for ‘scarlet Magazine’ but later becomes the editor-in-chief for the same (oops! spoiler for those who are yet to watch season 5).

I tried to re-create the Bold Type outfits of Jane, Kat, and Sutton from the clothes in my wardrobe. I wish I could get the Famous Fashion-Closet of The Bold Type.

The Subtle College Girl Look.

Episode – Season 4, Episode 3

Character – Sutton Brady

I called it college girl look, as I find this to be subtle and modest. Anyone can achieve this outfit effortlessly. 

I wore a white turtle neck knit-top and paired it with plaid pants. To completely duplicate the look of Sutton, I tied a high ponytail and accompanied a jacket. I had to settle for a black bag instead of Red.

Who doesn’t love an All-Black Outfit?

Episode – Season 1, Episode 7

Character – Jane Sloan

Don’t you feel this is the fastest look to achieve out of all? It took me just 10 minutes to land into this ‘All-Black but girly Look.’

I Just pulled on my Black trousers with a black choker top and a Black handle Tote bag.

Bold and Striped – Kat’s Bold Type Outfit

Episode – Season 3, Episode 4

Character – Kat 

I know the color is different and, what Kat is wearing is a striped Gown. But I somehow felt my striped flared trousers would be a similar fit to it.

I wore the high waist trousers with a black tank top.

The gown has a black tube knot tied at the top, and I tied my striped one at the top to create a similar image.

But, there’s one more striped Metallic outfit of Kat that I found similar to this. Just a quick addition of a Blue Denim Jacket to the outfit. 

Throughout the series, the one thought that was running continuously in my mind was – How to dress like The Bold Type stars and attain that sense of elegance and style.

And, finally dug in my Messy closet and landed in this re-creation process.
