Do you all end up ain’t having money at the end of every month? Especially when we are not earning but still have to brag up with our social life. I got your pain. Though hard to admit, we have to start saving, at least to have a happy end of the month.

Let’s admit, It’s a deep pain to control our extravagance, first and foremost, we never feel it to be so. Honestly, I would never agree with shopping and hogging on my favorite food to be an extravagance (Especially when I see something new added to the trend). Find all the possible excuses to cover up.

But this was in the past, since the last few months, I have increased my savings to 200%. Yes! I did, it feels immense pleasure and pride to have a handful of money (without compromising on ‘actual’ necessities).

How and what in the world has increased my saving?

Set your Goal of 30:

Okay!, if you want to succeed saving, Forget all the fancy shopping, and every that thing we regret spending money on for 30 days. Trust me, when we stop thinking about anything for more than 21 days, it does impact, and the urge to have something vanishes.

You still can’t believe it? Well!, try leaving your favorite food or sport for a month. You will see the difference in your craving.

Why does it work?

When we adopt a change for 21 days and more, it turns into a habit for us. When you stop yourself from buying that mouth-watering cheesy pizza for 30 days, you will see that your temptation for it has reduced. (Psychology proves this)

The second thing is when you give time to think about your purchase, You will start to think rationally and probably in all positive and negative ways about it, whether it is worth the money or just an extra addition to your expense? It would help you take a more logical and profitable step.

List out your essentials

Did it ever happen to you, you go for buying a pair of shoes, and you end up shopping a heck lot of things? If yes, then this trick is for you.

The next time you go shopping, list the exact things you are going to buy. After each item bought, cross it out. It would help you stick to your essentials rather than purchasing something that doesn’t fit your immediate needs.

Prefer Cash over Cards

Trust me, this works! Withdraw the money you require according to the budget you prepared. Start using liquid cash for every payment you do. You will notice the fear of losing money with every penny you take out from your wallet.

It would help you minimize your expenses and focus on the productive and needful.

Start thinking within the limits

This is something I have learned from one of the transformation Classes I had. We were asked to pick up three things: firstly stretchable, two – some sort of container, and lastly – something that fantasizes me (within 45 minutes and everything we get from the streets, vendors and having no Idea for what we’re searching)

Me and my friends, we got a thread, a plastic bottle, a small paper cup, and an orange peel. We then had to make a toy out of it (yes, it was a surprise for us). Though in the beginning, we were planting our brains on why exactly we have to do this?. But to our surprise at the end, we came up with creating a ‘Rotating Toy.’

This class fastened its impact on me. I started focusing on the thought of “How can I create numerous things with each item I have, rather than craving for something I don’t have.”

Hence, I started reusing my clothes, but each time I repeated, I ensured to recreate a new look. When I was out of Jackets, I pulled up my denim shirts as my Layering.

The whole idea here lies in your mind, the way you think. If you think, I have nothing to wear, nothing to eat, and nothing for everything you want, trust me, you will end up having really ‘nothing to spend.’

So these were the ways through which I succeeded in my ‘saving mission’. Saving doesn’t cut your happiness but indeed accomplishes the value of money, and every single possession you want to have.
