Hey Guys! I’m still not done with the ‘Bold Type – Hangover’ yet. And, after the first shot of Bold type outfits, here I am back with Volume-2 of ‘Recreating The Bold Type Outfits from clothes in my wardrobe.’
From Black tones of Jane to Bold colors of Kat Edison and Pastels of Sutton, Bold Type is a complete platter of colors and styles.
Jane wears feminine and posh outfits. She creates elegant workwear and, High heels are never an exception for Jane Sloan.
Sutton goes all floral to fancy ruffles, creating the essence of Vintage and timeless Fashion.
And Kat Edison is an energetic and unique trendsetter. She can go from all-electric party looks to an all- corporate look in a range of eye span.
How I recreated the looks of ‘My Favorite BFFs’ from Bold Type?
Creating The Bold Type looks was fun. I enjoyed every single time I was micro-scoping my entire wardrobe for similar outfits. (Though my entire wardrobe is a big Mess now)
I watched the series again and again while re-making these looks. And I surfed through all the information available on the net about The Bold Type outfits.
I look nothing near to these BFFs, even on their most awful days. But, having a minimal similarity to them, be it in any terms, filled me with the joys of spring.
Not too Plain to Turn a Blind Eye
Episode – Season 1, Episode 6
Character – Jane Sloan

This Twill twist shirt worn by Jane is by Alexander T. It is also worn by Chelsea Lawson on the drama ‘The Young and Restless.’
The moment I saw this shirt, I knew I could re-create this bold-type outfit with ease. I have a similar colored shirt but just had to add a little twist at the front.
Making that High bun with my fresh-cut short hair was the fun part. Jane wore dark blue jeans, but I opted to hop on my light blue shaded jeans to give that monotone look.
Checked Puff Sleeve
Episode – Season 2, Episode 2
Character – Sutton Brady

This multi-colored checked puff sleeve top is from Zara. I didn’t get the exact match but, my puff sleeves and checks were 30-40% similar to Sutton’s top.
Formal in Red | Bold Type
Episode – Season 4, Episode 6
Character – Jane Sloan

This Bold-type outfit is the trouble-free look of all and, I am sure at least, one of you would have a red sweater. And, having a checked pencil skirt is one of the crucial steps towards incorporating a formal wardrobe.
It is that 9 to 5 corporate look that we can create with the least effort.
I wore a red sweater with a grey checked pencil skirt and tried to carry a handle bag and black blazer to have that similar essence of Jane Sloan.
That’s it for Bold Type Outfit Re-creation. But, I have realized that styling is a crucial part of fashion. For instance, a shirt worn with a skirt would seem different from a shirt worn with a pair of jeans.
The complete look of the person changes with a Lil bit of additions and deductions to the outfit.
I enjoyed recreating the bold type outfits and, my love and obsession for ‘The Bold Type’ is never-ending.
