Hey Everyone! Happy New Year. Hope the year started great for you all.
And, Finally, the much-awaited Goa Trip is checked out from my list. In the past two years, my trip to Goa got canceled thrice. And, covid was the major reason for it of course but this time stars on my side.
I always wanted to be in Goa on the day of Christmas and I did and luckily visited the Goan churches on the day of Christmas. I must say it alerted my senses of piousness.
Let me describe the places I visited on my short trip to Goa. I can’t describe all the things I did in Goa in one article so I am going to post three articles describing my beautiful diaries of Goa. And, I hope this helps people who are about to visit Goa maybe not now but in near future.
How I reached Goa?
I stay in Bengaluru so you know a road trip to Goa from Bengaluru is a must to add to the list. I boarded the bus at night and by morning 8 am I was in the paradise of beaches. But attention! there are no ola and uber in Goa and be careful because the taxi drivers are on full loot.
Where did I stay?
I chose to stay in North Goa and particularly in Calangute and my hotel was just a few steps away from the beach.
What did I do on the First day?
I reached Goa around 8 am and after successfully getting fleeced by the cab driver I reached my hotel. Then, rented a scooter, had lunch on the way to Fontainhas. I reached the Latin quarter at the perfect timing – ‘The golden Hour.’ And, I would suggest if you are a person who wants Instagram-worthy photos at the colorful lanes, visit during the golden hour when sunlight turns magical on these bright lanes.
I wandered through the heritage lanes of Portuguese traditional architecture and attractively painted houses. The center of attraction is the church of our lady of Immaculate Conception. It was colorfully decorated filled with several artworks contributed by people in colorful banners.
And, I braided my hair with colorful threads that they called the local fashion and you will find these braids on half of the tourists in Goa. But I loved it, if you are in Goa do give this colorful look to your hair.
Look at the staircase building down. I don’t know what it is but I found it interesting.
I had to rush from the place by 5 30 pm as I had a reservation at Purple Martini, Anjuna Beach. Before going to Anjuna, I made sure to change my outfit though. No matter how hard we tried, we missed the sunset view from the purple Martini sunset point. But, I ended up in the shopping lanes of Anjuna filled with colorful knitted tops and bags.
I wandered in Anjuna till 10 pm and went back to the room as I wanted to attend the Christmas mass at 12 AM. But guys! we woefully slept like babies till 8 am and missed the Christmas mass.
What I wore in Goa?
My Goa outfits were packed in a bag for ages now. I started collecting clothes for Goa’s vacation last year. So, the first day I wore a Rust-colored Playsuit from Forever21. And, as I wasn’t going to the beach I paired it with white shoes and my current favorite white Lino Perros Bag. Truly, this cute little bag is so adorable, I can wear it both as a sling bag and a waist bag or buckle it in any way I want. No paid promotion but this can be on your buying list.
Sunglasses are a must in sunny places and the colorful braids too glided well with my look.
Didn’t you like the look? I loved the outfit from head to toe. It was comfy, cool, and syncing with the beach paradise.
At night, I wore a black slit dress with black heels. I can’t post all my outfit posts from Goa and blame the tragedy that happened to me on my third day in Goa.
And, that’s it my first day in Goa ended with excitement, drowsy eyes, and a camera roll of Latin quarter images.
