Graduation Day - Manasa yenukoti

The emotional big day is here – My Graduation day

June 4th, is the day that ended my under-graduation journey and I am now a graduate of Mount Carmel College. But it is not an end for the heart-felt memories I created in my college. I have been awaiting this day for ages now and finally it has come. My graduation day was filled with a platter of events that I would have never dreamt of.
I would be sharing every detail of my graduation day today, hope it amuses you too.
Although my graduation took place on June 4th, the story of that day actually began much earlier. As early as April, I began planning my look, the after party, and many other things.

Story of my Graduation

Who wouldn’t want to attend their graduation day, as it is such a special and emotional occasion? We are now here graduating with honors after all our rigorous struggle and sleepless nights.
Well, on the 4th of June, I woke up way too early or, perhaps more accurately, I don’t think I slept at all that night due to excitement and anxiousness. It was a significant day because it marked the conclusion of my time at MCC. I spent quite a long time draping that saree.

It came as a surprise to watch my strict and rigid teachers transform into a cool and friendly group. Their singing and dancing were the greatest of all. Simply said, it exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. It was then time for the black hats and coats. My college apparently has a rule against wearing black robes during the ceremony. The strangest element is that our graduation ceremony occurs before our end-of-semester exams. However, I’m not sure how to defend this part of my graduation though.

The Sad Part

But the sad part is that I was unable to capture many photos in this much-awaited black attire. The reason is a shocking one though. I suddenly just created drama with my dizziness and all of a sudden, I just collapsed to the floor. This thing went for a while and I came back to senses after ruining the special moments of all my friends and the after party never happened eventually because of me.

The next day, I experienced another episode of dizziness and severe blackouts. When I got my blood pressure checked, it wasn’t too low, but I was found anemic and had deficiencies of A, B, C, D, and E vitamins.

This kind of became a circle of events for me. I had my exams in five days. Right before the night of my exam, I got diarrhea which just made things worse. Since I didn’t want to give a supplemental exam and my placement offer would also be cancelled, my primary concern was actually my exams.
I somehow made it through the exam but the issue was the pill I took was just to reduce the diarrhea and not the infection completely. I delayed taking the antibiotic at the time, and the infection persisted for a while in my stomach.

After my exam, I once again fainted down, and this time my blood pressure dropped to 90/70. I was admitted to a hospital right afterwards and given drips.  I’m so grateful that my friends took care of me even while our exam period.

The Big News

I was ill for a long time and I have no clue how I studied and gave my exams. I just hope I pass in all modules. Yes, the thing I was worried was my trip to Delhi too. I was supposed to go to McLeod Ganj and Dharamshala right after my exams but that didn’t happen. So, I just went to Delhi to do shopping and revive few of my old memories in Delhi.
I went to a very cool place in Delhi – the museum of illusions and also champagali, I will soon share with that too. But, before that I would like you to tell you the big news that I am now an employee at Goldman Sachs. So, the blogs would be updated mostly on weekends.

Outfit details

The theme for our graduation day was white, cream, or gold saree. I didn’t want to go something that is way too normal and you know searching an ideal white saree is such a difficult thing. I tried out different kind of whites on me nothing suited well. So, I hoped on to a gold colored saree.

Actually, it is a sort of saree, I got the materials of the saree separately and then wore it as a saree. You know I can never just go normal with my outfits on such precious days. But organizing my attire was kind of a hectic one.

I accessorized with a studded head band and studded ear cuffs. I was so excited to wear these accessories because I knew this will just outshine my attire. My pretty black blouse was just a great addition to my saree, it just flared up my overall outfit with studded neckline and a cute cut out at the back with tiny bows.

That’s it for today, I hope I didn’t bore you with a lot of my drama details. And, yes though my college days ended here, but my content for college fashion won’t vanish. And, if you want a daily update on my office outfit ideas, keep tracking my Instagram stories.
