Desi Wedding Fits!

Pandemic has left me with a long-awaiting desire to attend and Indian wedding. Indian weddings have a different kind of vibe don’t you agree? What do you go for when you attend a wedding? Well, the major attraction to weddings is food, food, and food. But, don’t you guys love dressing up for a wedding. The moment we hear about the wedding date, the preparations for wedding clothes starts off. Be it of a far relative’s wedding or even be it someone who you don’t even know.

And, every wedding gives us a heap full of stories, joy with our loved ones, and also a bag full of tiredness after the D-day. After nearly three years, I finally attended a wedding. The weird part is I never interacted with the bride and groom as it was my friend’s sister wedding. But, this Indian wedding was special for me. The joy of wedding rises up when you are with your dear ones. I was there out with my girl tribe. From deciding the wedding looks to spending the whole night dancing and singing, this wedding has left me with a journal filled with happy memories. and, this wedding had to have the best of my outfit looks.

The wedding Tales

The amount of effort I put in to drape this saree and so focused we were in dressing up that ultimately by the time we reached the venue, the wedding was over. And, our room was just a few steps away from the Mandap. So, don’t know about the wedding, but the food, dresses, and joy was to the highest satisfaction.

Wedding Lehenga look

This dreamy beige lehenga is one of my favorite. It has the right amount of everything that I need, right from the color to the embroidered work and to the flare it has. And, coming to the blouse, I custom made it. And, I feel it is the major highlight of the entire lehenga look. The bow at the back and the net extended cape sleeves added the best possible glitters to the over all look.

I didn’t chose to layer with the veil as I didn’t wanted to hide the sleeves and create a traditional lehenga look. Accessorizing is the next important step in enhancing the look and the Mang tikkas, bangles, and jhumkas played their part well in my overall lehenga outfit for the night reception.

Rusty Orange Saree look

I barely wore saree for ten times I guess but I never fell in love with any saree so far. But, this saree which I stole it from my mom’s closet is the best I could ever ask for. The rusty orange color is everything that has attracted me. The perfectly embedded work all over the saree makes it the best. I paired the saree with a dark green sleeveless blouse to match with the embedded work on the saree. And, further accessorized with dark green jewelry to enhance the color contrast. And, I feel at least one saree look has become a must for Indian wedding.

I hope you loved the wedding looks. I have been excited to share with you for a long time. And, I again have to wear a saree in a few days for my graduation day. I can’t believe I am graduating in just a few days but the pressure of exams, research project, and assignments remind me of the final days pressure every now and then.
