All About Brunch & My Sunday Brunch Outfit

First of all, did you know these fascinating facts about Brunch? Well, I didn’t know till yesterday. 

• Brunch started somewhere in 1895, described as a meal for Saturday Tipplers. 
• Guy Beringer, an English writer, originated the term ‘Brunch’ by combining breakfast and lunch in a view to splash the Saturday hangover. (Business Insider)
• It started as a writer’s lazy meal, and today it’s the trending staple luncheon on Sundays.

For me, Brunch is a staple meal for every lazy Sunday. After the hustling weekdays, you got one sunny day to sleep peacefully till 10 in the morning.

But did you notice that this whole ‘Brunch thing’ has become like a trending fashion lately?

From Celebs to influencers, the Brunch Outfits are a big splash of content to post every weekend. Restaurants now have a special menu for this lazy meal.

Usually, Brunch starts at 11:00 Am and ends by 2:00 Pm. But, at some places, it can prolong till 4 Pm.

Why is Brunch so popular?

It started as a bait to beat Saturday night hangovers, but in the 1990s, it became a weekend affair. Sundays are for fun dates, naps, and to eat till we sleep. After the not-so-interesting lunch box days, don’t you think we deserve a treat to spice up our energy for the next week?

Brunch is the one-place destination to swipe all the stress of the hectic weekdays and to fill our plates with joy, love, and delicious food.

Okay, so I get why this lazy and attractive meal is so popular but, I feel the brunch Outfits have a different level of stardom. Don’t you?

Well, for me, it’s the time when I can flaunt all my pretty fashion investments.

 No matter how hard I try to get that fifteen minutes to get dressed the way I planned for the day, I end up being late every day. 

So, rushy days and restrictions for college outfits or formal work wear can kill all your dressy vibes. 

Sundays are the days when you can get ready peacefully. And, If you don’t want to look like a sleepy head in your selfies, Do take the extra effort to plan your Sunday brunch outfit.

What do we eat at Brunch?

Every Nation or, you can say culture, have a personalized menu for this Fun-feast Day. For Instance, Americans tend to have hash browns, toasts, eggs, waffles, pancakes, whereas French Brunch includes Ham crepes, scrambled eggs, and Croque Monsieur.

In China, Traditional Dimsum Brunch is famous, where we can see a lot of dumplings, fried buns, and tea. 

And, in my country – India, I tend to see people eating Poori Sabzi, Parathas, Sambar Idli, and dosa. 

While these are just a few to name, the list of Foods served for the luncheon is never-ending.

What to wear to a brunch date? Brunch Outfit ideas

Well, there are no rules and stops here. You can dress in whatever way you want. For me, my brunch outfit should specify three things – Comfort, Chic, and minimal elegance. 

Depending on the place you are going to visit, alter your outfit combinations. If you are going to a casual cafe or Dominos, wearing a comfy pair of jeans and a t-shirt can be your pick. But, the same won’t go well if you are going to a resto-bar or on a romantic brunch date.

My Sunday brunch Outfit

Sundays are for fun but, doesn’t fun without a fashion game sound incomplete?

For my latest brunch date, I wore a white striped Mid dress. I chose a pair of grey pump toe sandals that matched with the stripes on my dress. So, my sandals and my dress coupled quite well.

I would say midi dresses are perfect for occasions when you want to look classy and feel comfy too.

Whenever you are dressing classy, I feel a simple and elegant watch is a must. It high tones the whole aura and makes you look polished.

I went to Tiger Trail, Royal orchid recently. And, I can say that it is one of the romantic and chic places I have visited so far.

You can sit in your private gazebo and enjoy your meal to the fullest with minimal distractions.

But, I wasn’t content with the food and would rate 6 out of 10. It is an Indian Restaurant. But, there’s one more restaurant named ‘Lime light’ too in the resort.

Dates don’t always have to be in the dark. Brunching is never a bad idea for your next date.
