Does it happen to you? that you want to re-wear a dress but at the same time you don’t like wearing the same dress again and again.
But what’s wrong with repeating clothes? I don’t like repeating the dress in the same old way but I don’t mind re-wearing it again and again but with a different touch of style.
To be honest, this is the best part of my fashion styling. I just love to re-style every dress I have differently. C’mon, it’s good for our Mother Earth too.
Recently, I saw the Levis ad campaign video. And, it triggered me that I didn’t share with you any ‘different ways to style the same dress’ kind of post.
Why should you re-wear or repeat your clothes?
Keeping my joy of re-styling outfits aside, there are several reasons why you should also start believing in ‘Re-wear, Re-style, and Re-use’ your clothes.
- When you start doing this three ‘R’s thing with your clothes, you start buying less. (save your money)
- Clothing is the most polluting industry and wearing the same clothes for a long time will reduce carbon and other toxic emissions.
- It saves space in your wardrobe. I don’t know if you face this issue but I do have this trouble a lot. I’m a student, I stay in a co-sharing rented space.
- It gets too difficult for me to fit all my clothes in a shared wardrobe and buying new clothes doubles this issue.
- With just minor additions and changes to your dress, you will be able to create a completely new outfit.
- You just have to know how to re-style your dress and create a different look every time you wear it.
- And, Repeating clothes differently is like a new trend of fashion. We can see a lot of fashion influencers re-wearing their clothes with pride.
- I agree that most of the sustainable brands are high in budget. So, a normal earning person cannot afford these sustainable clothes. But by re-wearing and thrifting your clothes you are at least not causing 0.001% harm to your environment.
- And, trust me the joy you get after re-creating a fresh look with your old dress is way more than the joy you get from buying a new dress.
